But this weekend, police believed already to serendipity and announced a lawsuit against the father of the child. Sheriff Jim Alderden, told reporters that his department was preparing search warrants and the reasons for the complaint against the child’s father, Richard Heene, and some family members without specifying which ones.
Alderden did not specify what charges could be brought against Richard Heene, extensively questioned Saturday by police who suspected him of having mounted a hoax, contrary to what she had thought at first.
The father could be prosecuted for pushing a minor to délinqaucne, conspiracy, false testimony and attempted to influence an officer, according to TMZ.
By Thursday night, doubts were relayed in the media, revealing that the father, a scientific visionary, had repeatedly tried to attract media attention. Police later discovered that the family had telephoned a television channel before calling for help Thursday. The sheriff thinks now that the “hoax” was planned for two weeks.”
