Eddie Royal

Eddie Royal became the first player in the history of the Denver Broncos to return a kickoff and a punt for major in a game, and the San Diego Chargers were inclined 34-23 Monday night .

The Broncos have not pushed a touchdown on offense before the 19-yard pass from Kyle Orton quarter to tight end Tony Scheffler late in the third quarter when the score was 24-23.

Wide receiver Eddie Royal had its best game as a pro, after catching six passes for 164 yards and a touchdown. However, in the subsequent kickoff 93 yards for Royal toured the board to 7-3 for the visitors.

Before the period, hit Philip Rivers touchdown pass three yards to Vincent Jackson.

In the second quarter, Denver field goal hit an 34-yard Matt Prater and the Royal punt return of 71 yards to go ahead 17-10.

The Broncos completed the scoring by adding an investment of Matt Prater and a late hit after a catch by Brandon Stokley, who was confirmed after a video replay.

The Broncos have a 6-0 record for the fifth time in franchise history, and it is a first since the 13-0 form completed in 1998 while training in Colorado was conducted by the legendary John Elway. He had also led his men to a second consecutive Super Bowl that year.

The Broncos began the meeting with three and a half games ahead of the Chargers (2-3), leading the West Division of the American Association.
