Marry Jo kopechne

An American instructor, secretary and political promotion expert and daughter of an insurance salesperson was born in the village of Forty Fort, Pennsylvania, on 26th July 1940. She did her graduation in New Jersey from Caldwell College for Women, after that she shifted to Washington and started job as a secretary for George Smathers and Robert Kennedy. She was living in a shared apartment with Nancy Carole Tyler, who was working for Bobby Baker.

Kopechne was killed in a car accident that almost finished Edward Kennedy’s political career. Kopechne was an ex- promotion worker for Robert F. Kennedy who was Edward Kennedy’s brother.

On 18 July 1969, Kopechne participated in a social gathering which was held on Chappaquiddick Island, near the island of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. Edward Kennedy and Kopechne left the get-together later that night; soon after short time, their car plunged off the Barrier Bridge into a millpond, where it upturned. Kopechne died in the car, Kennedy swam ashore but didn’t informed anyone about the mishap until the next morning, later on claiming he had been confused by the collide.

The facts of the occurrence have never been completely clear, and Kennedy’s critics suggested he had been driving intoxicated, had frightened after the mishap, or yet had tried to place a cover-up of his involvement. Nothing was ever proved and Kennedy had been considered a possible candidate for president in 1972; instead he pled responsible to parting the scene of a mishap and had his driver’s permit canceled for a year.
