He made the most exclusive and pricey self-financed campaign in the history of America, by spending approximately $ 100 million. This was the ten- times greater amount as of his challenger, William Thompson Jr.
Bloomberg fame and popularity lessen with the time as the recent voting showing him to get up to 20% more points. But this time his victory is assume to be quite easy and his actual scope of victory is anticipated to be far slighter as compared to 2005.
Analysis shows that though public showed some antipathy towards Bloomberg for his way of persuaded the City Council to modify the term-limit law in 2008 so that he could run again. New Yorkers who voted against Bloomberg on Tuesday tremendously mentioned his position on term limits and excessive and very high spending. Bloomberg would become the 1st three-term mayor in New Yark since Democrat Ed Koch, who has legitimate Bloomberg. Majority of the voters is not going to bother for a huge amount he has spent on election campaign.
