Seychelles will also get the South African fever as the African nation gets the World Football fever. Seychelles has also emerged in news as the world cup is at the corner to be held from 11 June to 11 July 2010.

Seychelles and South African tourism boards have decided to present their guests more than what they would be expecting while coming to South Africa to witness the greatest spectacle of the world.

To entice European and American tourists both nations have decided to promote joint travel packages and tourists will be offered not only the South African Safaris but also Seychelles beaches in one package.

The package was announced during the world’s largest travel and tourism exhibition held in Berlin Germany. Seychelles Tourism Board, Routes Unlimited Cape Town and Mpumalanga Parks and Tourism Agency are the three to join hands in this public-private partnership venture. The package would offer to the tourists three of the most famous sites in the region including Kruger Park.

The package would be a double fun for all those who would be in the area for a month.

The Football fever also has made it possible for Seychelles to have those Adidas Jabulani balls that will be rolling on the grounds in World Cup. The South African government has donated footballs to Seychelles Football Federation.

Suketu Patel, the chairman for Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) received the balls from Dumi Matabone, the South African High Commissioner to Seychelles. In return to this generous gift, Mr. Suketu Patel has extended his and his nation’s prayers for winning of the World Cup by an African country. One of the World Cup referee, Eddie Maillet is from Seychelles.
